Cell 40 is located in General Population, and is shared by Michael Scofield and Fernando Sucre in Fox River. For a brief time, Michael shares the cell with Charles "Haywire" Patoshik. The cell is the beginning of Michaels escape plan and the most important part. To get out of the cell Michael has unscrewed the sink.

Trivia

• Everyone from the Fox River Eight has visited this cell, however Patoshik came when the group was at the last part of the escape (and already visited it earlier).
• The cells has a path that leads to the tunnels and leads to the Psych Ward. The Psych Ward leads to the Infirmary and thus to the cable which leads to the other side and thus to the escape.
