• His death is similair to that of Terrence Steadman. Both men worked for a Conspiracy (Terrence for the Company and Colburn for Carmen Vega), both men pointed a gun at the other one who pointed a gun at him which were both main characters (Charlie DuChamp at Colburn, and Paul Kellerman at Terrence) and both men did take suicide.
• Colburn is the first character to die in the Breakout Kings Headquarters.
• Colburn's death marks the first time that all the main characters (Philly wasn't a main character from episode 2 until 13) has seen the same death.
