Biography
Background
August was friends with Jimbo Cantrell and Jon Phelps, who were in an auto club together. August killed a biker, who insulted his wife. August then escaped from a county prison and killed a deli cashier and woman who's car got carjacked. August was three weeks later caught by Ray Zancanelli. August did work with Gwen together and they did made a break out plan.

Season 1
August was on a bed working on his escape plan. August stole a license template and even used it for his escape plan, unknown to the other inmates. August then was hiding himself under the truck and killed the truck driver, and injured Gwen (who was also a co-conspirator).
At the time of his escape, August is changing his license plate frequently. August then kills Jimbo. While escaping, he kidnaps a mother and daughter (along with Gwen).

- August does mean "great", "magnificent"[3]
- Tillman does mean that "women had no right earlier, but now they do"[4]

- August is the first person who attempted to kill Charlie DuChamp. The others are Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell and Christian Beaumont.
- August is the first escapee who knew a Breakout Kings member prior the show (Ray Zancanelli). The others are Carmen Vega and Damien Fontleroy.
- August is the only escapee who's picture never came at www.aetv.com.[5] Instead a normal big picture appeared in the episode.
- This was possible done, to make the actor's appearance as a surprise.
- August is the very first character to appear on-screen in the series.
- August is the very first character and villain to appear in the opening scenes.
- August is the first character whose date of capture has never revealed on screen. The others are Lilah Tompkins, Andre Brennan and Virgil Downing.
- August is the first main villain who escaped with the help of a co-conspirator. The other characters are Marlon O'Connell, Andre Brennan, Virgil Downing, Ronald Barnes, Carmen Vega, Brent Howson, Victor Mannion and Brody Ardell.
