C-Note originally lied to Kacee, not telling her that he was in prison.

Kacee was reluctant to trust C-Note's plan for their family's reunion after his escape. However, when Agent Lang pressured her to make a choice, she chooses not to cooperate with the FBI and escaped with C-Note and Dede to North Dakota. When she went to a pharmacy to get medicine for Dede, she was arrested for aiding and abetting her husband. She was later released as part of the deal her husband had with FBI Special Agent Mahone.
