Prison Industries (PI) is a team of prisoners in Fox River who do jobs around the prison that the prison itself does not have the resources to fix. According to Michael, the starting pay is 19 cents an hour. Jobs include painting, cleaning and repairing damaged rooms. Up until he was fired, Bellick sold the right to run PI to the highest bidder, who was John Abruzzi and for a short while, another member of the Abruzzi crime family.
