Written by: Paul Scheuring and Nick Santora Starring: Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and Robin Tunney

Act 1Edit

[A man named Diamond is at a fairground, he purchases some tickets from a tickets stand and gives them to his two sons]

DIAMOND: Just a few more rides. Then you have to wrap it up.

[He kisses one of the boys on the head and they run off with their friends. The man then turns around only to find Kellerman and Hale standing in front of him, Kellerman is stirring what looks to be ice cream]

KELLERMAN: Wow, Adam's getting bigger, huh? 10.

DIAMOND: Not here.

KELLERMAN: We need a favour.

DIAMOND: I've been out of the lake for years, you know that.

KELLERMAN: No, no. The problem is, Diamond, no one's gonna believe that if I take the heroin I have in my pocket and put it in the glovebox of the reasonably priced minivan you got parked over there. I will cuff you, I will drag you out of here in front of everyone.

DIAMOND: What do you need?

[Veronica's apartment - Veronica is working while she watches the President make a speech on television]

PRESIDENT: [On television] What America needs is an environmentally friendly, logistically feasible, and economically responsible alternative fuel source.

[The phone rings and goes to the answer machine]

VERONICA: [On her answer machine] Leave a message and I'll call you back. Thanks.

WENDY: Hi, it's Wendy. I know you wanted to work with no distraction, so don't pick up. Just wanted to let you know that Nick Savrinn left 6 messages for you-

[Veronica picks up the phone]

VERONICA: What did you tell him?

WENDY: Oh, er, what you said to say. That you were in a meeting.

VERONICA: Look, if he comes by the office tomorrow, tell him I'm not there, okay?

WENDY: Okay. Goodnight, Veronica.

VERONICA: Thanks, Wendy.

[She hangs up and puts down the phone]

[Michael's cell - Michael sits on his bunk sharpenning the end of the bolt so that he can use it again, Sucre keeps lookout. Skips to Michael unscrewing the toilet from the wall, then to him climbing through to the other side of it. Skips again to Michael standing in a room, he's staring at a wall, he then walks forward and examines the wall. He goes to one side of the room and walks forward 4 steps, turns to his left, then walks forward another 4 steps, and marks the spot next to his foot with the sharp edge of the bolt. He then stands next to a metal pole, presses his arm against it and then engraves another mark at the same height as one of his tattoos. He then sets up some kind of tripod instrument that is in the room. Sucre is sat on his bunk, his legs dangling over the edge, he's still on lookout as guards parole]

PRISON GUARD: Bed check! [Sucre hops down from his bunk and looks out of the cell, then takes the mirror from underneath his bunk and hits the toilet frame with it to signal Michael, then he puts pillows under Michael's duvet to make it look like he's in bed sleeping, before looking out of the cell once more and hopping into bed]

[Veronica's apartment - Veronica exits her apartment, locks the door and turns around, she is confronted by Nick]

NICK: Do you want to tell me why you haven't returned any of my phone calls?

VERONICA: Look, I really appreciate everything you've done. Okay? But I don't want your help anymore.

NICK: You don't want my help anymore. Do you really think I had something to do with that missing tape?

VERONICA: No, look, I'm just gonna go grab a cup of coffee and get back to work, okay? I don't have time for this right now.

[Veronica exits her apartment block, Nick chases after]

NICK: Veronica. Just wait a second. Will you hold on a second? [Grabbing Veronica's arm] Listen, what are you avoi-

VERONICA: Don't touch me, alright?

[Nick looks confused, a janitor named Lucas is fixing a lamp outside the building]

LUCAS: Everything okay, Miss Donovan?

VERONICA: Lucas, do you mind walking me back inside?

LUCAS: [To Nick] Take a walk, pal.

NICK: You're being paranoid. You're being paranoid.

VERONICA: [As Lucas walks her back inside] Go away, Nick.

[Nick exits]

[Michael's cell - Sucre is lying in his bunk, it's unsure where Michael is, Patterson enters, he looks through the cell gate, shines his flashlight on Michael's bunk]

PATTERSON: Show some skin, Scofield.

[Nothing happens so Patterson hits a couple of the poles on the cell gate to wake him up]

PATTERSON: Hey, Scofield!

[Sucre looks slightly worries, Patterson fiddles with his keys, trying to find the right one for the cell. Michael emerges from under the duvet, Patterson shines the light on him]

MICHAEL: I fell asleep, boss.

[Patterson walks away satisfied]

MICHAEL: I can't get through the wall.

SUCRE: What do you mean you can't get through the wall?

MICHAEL: I know how to do it, I just don't have the time to do it.

SUCRE: We're locked up. All we got is time.

MICHAEL: You don't understand. I planned this break on a schedule. And constantly coming up here for count won't let me do what I need to do to get through that wall. And if I'm not back on schedule, which means we're through that wall by the end of the day, minata, we're not getting out of here.

SUCRE: [Rolling over and looking at Michael] There's three things for certain in life. Death, taxes and count. Only way to stop count is...

SUCRE: Never mind, it's a bad idea.

[Sucre rolls back over]

MICHAEL: Worse than the idea of losing Maricruz?

[Sucre thinks for a second, then rolls back over and looks down at Michael]

SUCRE: A lockdown. We get gen pop locked down for a day, you'll have all the time you need.

MICHAEL: And no count?

SUCRE: Bulls don't even come by.

[Michael sits up]

SUCRE: Only one problem.

MICHAEL: How do we get a lockdown?

[Michael and Sucre think, Sucre wipes the sweat off his head, then looks like he has an idea]

SUCRE: Can you get to the prison AC unit?

MICHAEL: Maybe. SUCRE: You want a lockdown, you got to get the inmates riled up. And if you want to piss off the meat in concrete... Turn up the heat.

[Courtyard - We see various activities, people playing basketball, a line of cons being lead somewhere, inmates passing something to each other on the bleachers, other inmates working out. We see an unknown inmate using one of the payphones]

UNKNOWN INMATE: I thought you were retired.

DIAMOND: Never mind me. [We see him on a payphone in another location] Heavy-hitters want this done so that means I want this done. No screw-ups.

UNKNOWN INMATE: For you, Diamond, it's not a problem. Burrows is as good as dead.

[We see Lincoln being lead into the secluded section of the courtyard. Michael is standing in a different part of the courtyard, Sara approaches him from the other side of the fence]

SARA: Hottest April on record.

MICHAEL: Global warming.

SARA: Probably. You got a minute?

MICHAEL: About five years' worth.

SARA: Sorry, right, um... You never told me Lincoln Burrows is your brother.

MICHAEL: Never came up.

SARA: Right. I'm curious if that isn't because of my father, the governor. He may not be the one pulling the switch but you and I both know he has the power to grant clemency and he won't. He never does.

MICHAEL: My old man was an abusive drunk who abandoned his family. I don't judge anyone by their father's actions. Or inactions, if that was your concern.

SARA: Just so you know, I don't agree with his politics. And I'm sorry about your brother.

MICHAEL: I appreciate that.

[Sara begins to walk away, then turns back around]

SARA: Hey, this isn't much. Um... I have to give Lincoln a weekly check up now. If you want, I could schedule those visits to end right before you come in for your shots. That way, er, you'd at least see each other even if it's just in passing.

MICHAEL: Thank you.

SARA: Yeah.

[Sara exits. Michael walks over to a group of black inmates and sits down next to Trumpets, who hands him a whisk with a rotating handle]

TRUMPETS: Greetings from the kitchen, Fish. Hundred bucks.

[Michael takes the whisk, puts it in his boot and covers it with his trousers.

[A-Wing - Geary stands with T-Bag as he waits to return to the A-Wing]

GEARY: Theodore Bagwell, transfer back from the infirmary.

[A buzzer sounds, Geary opens the gate and let's T-Bag into the A-Wing. His cronies applaud his return, he elbow bumps two of them at the same time and chest bumps Trokey]

TROKEY: We got you a little 'get well' gift. [Laughs]

T-BAG: [Spotting a young inmate sat in his cell] Aw.

[His cronies laugh]

T-BAG: It's just the right size.

[They laugh more]

T-BAG: Thank you, boys.

CRONIE: It's gonna be a fun night, T-Bag.

T-BAG: I'll catch up witchoo later.

CRONIE #2: Enjoy.

[T-Bag enters his cell, leaning against the wall, his cronies have disperse]

T-BAG: What's your name?

SETH: Seth.

T-BAG: You new, Seth?

[Seth nods slightly]

T-BAG: Scared? Look at me, boy. [Seth looks up nervously] T-BAG: You've probably heard stories about me... They're not all true. [Pulling out his pocket] What do you say we go for a walk, huh?

[Behind the A-Wing's cell wall - Michael seems to screw or unscrew a bolt in a pipe, he then climbs up a level or two, opens up a small control box and pulls a lever, which disables the prison's air conditioning]

[Fox River - Veronica is having her back checked by a prison guard before she enters, the prison guard is happy that her bag is clear, Veronica takes it back]

PRISON GUARD: Your co-counsellor's already here.

VERONICA: Excuse me?

[The prison guard motions the way, Veronica walks forward and sees Nick sat in the room]

VERONICA: What the hell are you doing here?

NICK: I'm talking to my client.

[The guard lets Veronica into the room]

VERONICA: [To Lincoln] Don't talk to him.

[We see that Lincoln is already sat in the room]

LINCOLN: Veronica, he-

VERONICA: We don't know anything about this guy.

LINCOLN: He found somebody that could help us out.

VERONICA: You have 1 minute.

NICK: I've been going over the incident report from the night of the murder and somebody made an anonymous phone call to the local cops claiming to see Lincoln running away from the garage with bloody pants.

VERONICA: We've been through this. Look, you can't cross-examine a witness if you don't know who it is.

NICK: We don't need to know who it is. We know where he is.

VERONICA: What do you mean?

NICK: Er, it took some doing but a PI friend of mine was able to backtrack the phone call to the police department. Whoever made that call couldn't have seen Lincoln running from the garage that night.

VERONICA: How do you know?

NICK: Because the phone call came from Washington, D.C.

[Lincoln and Veronica share a look]

[A-Wing - The prisoners are getting very hot now, we see one elderly inmate fanning himself with some cardboard. In Michael's cell, we see Sucre sat by the cell gate flicking through a magazine, Michael is sat in the chair tracing the devil tattoo on his arm]

SUCRE: You were supposed to turn off the AC, not turn on the furnace.

[Sucre looks around the A-Wing, many of the prisoners are getting restless because of the heat. He looks down to T-Bag's cell and sees Seth holding out what looks like nuts, T-Bag llies on his bunk eating the nuts. Into T-Bag's cell]

SETH: It's getting so hot in here.

T-BAG: Did I say you could talk, Cherry?

[We see that T-Bag is lying with a flannel across his eyes, he moves the flannel up slightly so that he can see Seth]

T-BAG: You'll know when i want you to open your mouth. [Standing] Jerry! [Leaning against the cell gate] You got to do something about the heat.

[Geary is stood with a plastic cup of water]

GEARY: Doing the best we can.

T-BAG: Your best is garbage. It's a hundred degrees in here.

GEARY: Look like I got frostbite to you?

[A buzzer sounds]

GEARY: Line 'em up!

[The cell gates slide open and all the prisoners line up side by side outside their cells, along a red line. Geary turns away from T-Bag who steps forward, out of the line]

T-BAG: Why don't you transfer us all some place cooler? Like Africa.

[The other prisoners start shouting and jeering]

GEARY: Get your ass on the line, convict.

[More inmates step forward]

GEARY: All of you, hit that line.

T-BAG: We'll move when the temperature situation is rectified.

[The other prisoners shout in support of T-Bag, Mack looks up from the security room and sees the prisoners revolting]

MACK: [Into his radio] Hey, Bellick, this is Mack in cell block. We've got some cons popping off.

[We see Bellick in the sick bay, he begins to exit]

BELLICK: [Into his radio] Give them a smack, throw them on the line and write them up. If you can't handle it, don't cash your paycheck this week.

[Bellick exits the sick bay and enters a doctor's office, Sara enters]

BELLICK: It's not a good time, doc.

SARA: Oh, I just got a call a prisoner is suffering from heat exhaustion.

BELLICK: He's faking it.

SARA: [Laughs, putting on her white overcoat] Is that your medical opinion?

BELLICK: [Removing his hat] Hey, we've got a bunch of overheated cons loud in the A-wing.

SARA: I don't blame them. It's 11(?) in there.

BELLICK: Everything's under control but you should go back to the infirmary building. When things calm down, I'll have your patients transferred from sick bay. Just looking out for your best interests.

SARA: And I appreciate that, um, but, Officer Bellick, you and I both know that it's illegal to deny a prisoner medical care and you could lose your job over it. Now, I'm just looking out for your best interests.

[Bellick puts his back on]

BELLICK: Go right on in.

SARA: Thank you, sir.

[Back in the A-wing, Mack is now in the cell block with Geary, the prisoners, led by T-Bag]

GEARY: Don't be a baby, T-Bag. It ain't that hot.

[The prisoners pipe up again]

T-BAG: Not that hot!? [Pointing at a black inmate] When this guy woke up this morning, he was white.

[The prisoners laugh, cheer and shout]

GEARY: You want to cool off?

[Geary throw his water over T-Bag's face, the prisoners get even more riled up and shout even more]

MACK: Step back.

T-BAG: We'll step back when we get some wind blowing in here.

GEARY: Alright, that's it! Lockdown! Everybody, back to your cells! I said everyone back to your cells! Now, convicts! Lockdown!

[Some of the prisoners retreat to their cells, Michael and Sucre enter their cell after watching what just happened]

SUCRE: You got your lockdown, bro, do your thing.

MICHAEL: [Pulling the sheet off of Sucre's bunk] You're coming with me.

SUCRE: What? No, no, no, no. I'm the lookout, man, that's it.

MICHAEL: I need you down there. It's a two-man job. Let's hang a sheet.

SUCRE: N-, no way, man, you only hang a sheet when you and your cellie want to get friendly, you know?

MICHAEL: You want to protect your prison rep or you want to get out of here?

[Michael throws Sucre the sheet, Sucre hangs it up. Many of the prisoners are still causing an uproar, refusing to return to their cells until the air conditioning is fixed, Mack and Geary manage to exit the cell block safely. Michael and Sucre crawl through the hole behind the toilet and pull it shut]

Act 2Edit

[A-wing - The prisoners are beginning to riot properly, clambering over metal protective frames and kicking and tearing at the gate into the security room, Bellick enters the security room where Mack and Geary are, swarming around the gate violently]

BELLICK: What the hell's going on in here?

GEARY: These inmates became belligerent and refused to rack in.

BELLICK: You locked it down with inmates still out of their cells?

GEARY: Figured we could control 20 out of control inmates easier than 300.

[T-Bag is at the front of the riot]

T-BAG: Listen up, roses, listen up. [All fall quiet] Bellick, I got one for you. What do you call a piece of white trash who couldn't pass the cop's exam and now makes less than a mailman? A CO.

[The prisoners laugh, Bellick smiles]

BELLICK: Get your hands off the fence.

TROKEY: Suck it, pig!

[Bellick smashes Trokey's fingers with his baton, this fuels the prisoners riot even more]

BELLICK: You know, Teddy, you really let me down, and that's hard to do because I don't expect much from the inbred child of a retard.

[Everything has fallen silent, T-Bag is giving Bellick a very stern look]

BELLICK: [Approaching T-Bag and speaking more quietly] That's right, Teddy. I read your psych records. About how your daddy raped his mongoloid sister and then nine months later, little Teddy pops out.

[T-Bag is quiet for a moment, suddenly he grabs the gate]

T-BAG: I'm gonna kill you!

[T-Bag goes crazy, the rest of the rioters start yelling and attacking the gate again, Bellick laughs, then bends down and picks something up] BELLICK: Hot as hell. They'll wear themselves out eventually.

[Fox River - Lincoln, Nick and Veronica are still in a secluded visitor room discussing the witness phone call made from Washington, D.C., Lincoln is stood by a window, he seems to be very agitated]

LINCOLN: The call was a fake. What about a stay of execution or-

NICK: No, no, it's legally insufficient.

LINCOLN: What the hell does that [he kicks over a chair] mean!? What the hell does that mean?

VERONICA: It means the prosecution could point out the evidence from your criminal trial, okay? The blood, the video, the gun. A questionable phone call is not going to stack up to that.

LINCOLN: We got something, right?

NICK: Absolutely. We got an area code. And my contact is gonna track that number to someplace more specific - a building, a neighbourhood, a block - to the person who made this phone call.

LINCOLN: Okay. What happens next?

NICK: [To Veronica] We need to catch the next flight to D.C. That is, of course, if you trust me now.

[A-wing - T-Bag and the rest of the rioting prisoners carry on shaking the gate loose, they're going crazy]

T-BAG: It's coming! It's coming! It's coming! Get on the train!

[The COs begin to look nervous, T-Bag howls, we hear the faint sound of a warning of a lockdown over the speakerphone]

TROKEY: I want you! I want you, Bellick! You're mine, Bellick!

T-BAG: Get on the train! Get on the train!

[The gate is becoming very unsturdy now]

BELLICK: Get to my office.

T-BAG: Oh, just what I thought! Piggles are scared of the big, bad wolf! Big, bad wolf!

[Bellick exits, Mack and Geary follow]

T-BAG: Aw, just what I thought! Get on the train!

[A bolt from finally comes completely loose]

[Behind the A-wing cell wall - Michael and Sucre are walking along the corridor, they stop and listen to the sound of the cheering/rioting prisoners] MICHAEL: Come on. [They keep moving]

[T-Bag and the rioters manage to pull the fencing off of the security room windows and they climb through to the A-wing security room. We see Bellick, Mack and Geary make their way into another room. Bellick takes a small metal briefcase out of a drawer, removes a gun from the briefcase and loads it. Bellick looks at surveillance monitors and sees the state of the security room that the prisoners have breached. T-Bag plays and flicks with a lot of switches on a control panel until all the cell gates slide open, releasing the rest of the inmates. Westmoreland's cat, Marilyn, runs out of the cell]

WESTMORELAND: Marilyn, no! [Many inmates throw tissues all over the A-wing, the place is a mess. In the breached security room, T-Bag stumbles across a set of keys on the floor, he picks them up, the other prisoners see this and start laughing mischievously. In the room where the officers are, they watch T-Bag dangle the keys in front of a camera for the prison guards to see]

BELLICK: Whose keys are those?

MACK: I guess in the commotion, I...

[Bellick goes to storm out with hus gun, Geary and Mack step in front of him]

GEARY: How many rounds do you think you're gonna get off before they get their hands on you? BELLICK: [Into his radio] This is Bellick. O[Aur wing has been breached. [Watching the situation escalate on the monitor] I want A-wing evacuated and shut down, all access to B-wing cut off now. [Bellick, Mack and Geary exit]

[Sick bay - Rizzo is on duty, Sara is tending to a large patient on a hospital bed]

SARA: I'm gonna get some fluids into you, you'll be good as new, okay? Nod your head if you believe me.

[The inmate nods his head]

SARA: Good man.

[Sara removes her gloves and moves onto the next patient]

SARA: Theo. [Picking up his file from the end of the bed] What can we do for you today? [Reading the file] Hm. [Poking his leg with a pen] This where it hurts?

[Theo squirms, he has a nasty gash on his leg] THEO: A little higher and to the left. SARA: You have 3 weeks post-op. Your knee is being held together by a rod and 3 screws, I'm saying tenderness is normal. No more meds. [Theo groans, Sara moves onto the next patient] SARA: Okay, Kuame, why are you back? PRISON GUARD: [Through Rizzo's radio] Inmates in cell block are compromised lockdown and breached A-wing through the guard's station. A-wing is shutting down] KUAME: Oo-hoo, it's popping off up in gen pop! [The prisoners start cheering, Kwame and Theo high five, Sara and Rizzo look a little nervous]

[A-wing - The inmates are still running riot, throwing toilet paper, etc., the camera focuses on an empty cell, the one belonging to Michael and Sucre. Now we see Michael and Sucre in the room they need to be in, with the wall they need to break through] MICHAEL: Somewhere on the other side of this wall is the main drainage pipe to the prison's old sewer system. [We see the parts of the plan as Michael says them] If we can get through this wall, we can get into the pipe. If we can get into the pipe, we can get to the infirmary. And if we can get to the infirmary, then we can get out of here. [Sucre smiles]

[A visitation room - Bob unlocks the door, him another guard enter the room Lincoln, Veronica and Nick are in]

BOB: I'm sorry, all visitors have to leave the facility.

NICK: No, this-

BOB: You have to leave. There's a minor disturbance in cell block. [Helping up Lincoln who is slouched against a wall] A-wing is being shut down for safety purposes.

[Veronica and Nick prepare to leave]

LINCOLN: A-wing. Veronica, Michael's in there.

VERONICA: Will he be okay?

BOB: You have to leave now.

LINCOLN: Go to D.C., it's all we got. I'll take care of Michael, alright?

LINCOLN: Please.

[Veronica and Nick exit, Bob leads Lincoln out into the hallway and down the corridor]

BOB: I'm sorry about cutting you short.

LINCOLN: Bob, how many times have I told you not to apologise? It makes you look weak. What's going on?

BOB: Like I said, there's a minor disturbance.

LINCOLN: Minor disturbance, my brother's in gen pop, give it to me straight.

BOB: Some cons breached cell block. But they won't get anywhere. The hallways have locked doors at either end, there's nothing to worry about.

LINCOLN: Son of a bitch. [Bob leads Lincoln through a door and up a set of stairs, he unlocks a gate at the top of the stairs, they walk through]

PRISON GUARD: [Over speakerphone] Additional sectors of A-wing have been compromised.

[Lincoln and Bob see a group of prisoners running down a hallway toward them, there is a locked door separating them from the group. T-Bag and a group of other convicts, including Trokey, run out from another a hallway and nearly straight past Lincoln and Bob, but T-Bag spots them, they all stop]

T-BAG: [Slowly edging forward] Holy damn. A rookie CO. And it ain't even Christmas. [High-pitch laugh]

[T-Bag twiddles a metal pipe in his hand, Lincoln turns to Bob]

LINCOLN: Get the cuffs off.

[Bob hesitates]

LINCOLN: Give me the... [snatching the keys from Bob's waist] key. Get out of here, T-Bag.

T-BAG: Oh, I see, you found him first? Finders keepers? I-, you know, I respect that, I do, [whispering] but, er, you think we can work something out?

LINCOLN: What you got?

T-BAG: Oh, I could make your last few weeks on Earth quite, quite enjoyable. Give you some demerol, some X. It'll make you forget about that big, bad chair.

LINCOLN: No deal.

T-BAG: You've got to learn the art of negotiating. Lesson 1, bonding position.

[Prisoners run up the staircase that Lincoln and Bob came from, they're stopped by the gate, they're loud and feisty]

T-BAG: Yours just changed.

TROKEY: Take the pig! Come on!

[T-Bag's crew get lairy, he holds them back, Bob makes a run for it, Lincoln stops him quickly and pushes him up against a fence]

LINCOLN: What are you doing?

BOB: I'm getting the hell out of here.

LINCOLN: Look around, you're not gonna make it.

T-BAG: Still, Sink. No blood needs to spill, Sink.

LINCOLN: Then walk away.

T-BAG: We both know that ain't gonna happen.

[Lincoln grabs hold of the cuff that's hanging loose off of his right arm]

['Drilling Room' - Michael plugs in a cable, then picks up a lamp, turns it on and off, sets it up on a stand, Sucre is looking at the wall they need to get through]

SUCRE: That's one big pile of concrete. How do you know where the pipe is?

MICHAEL: We've got someone to show us where it is.

SUCRE: Oh, really? Who?

[Michael holds the picture of the devil he traced earlier of the light and shines it onto the wall, Sucre moves out the way as he's standing in front of the projection, he looks at the wall and jumps, then crosses his heart as he looks at the devil. Michael smiles]

[Sick bay - Sara is examining a patient's arm]

SARA: Infection's not so bad. I'm gonna give you a shot of penicillin just to make sure, okay?

UNKNOWN INMATE: Thanks, doc.

[Sara goes into her office]

RIZZO: [Into his radio] This is Rizzo. A-wing need back up? Over.

PRISON GUARD: [Over radio] Negative. A-wing is evacuating and locked down. Remain in B-wing.

[Suddenly Rizzo is grabbed from behind, Kuame strangles him. Skips to Sara coming out of her office holding a syringe, she sees Rizzo lying on the floor, turns to go back into her office, Kuame steps in her way, she gasps]

KUAME: What's up, doc?

Act 3Edit

[Sick bay - Kuame grabs Sara by the throat, she struggles, Sara stabs Kuame in the shoulder with a syringe, he lets go and squirms in pain. Sara locks her office door as Kuame tries to open it, she pushes her desk in front of the door]

KUAME: Come on, doc!

SARA: [Coughs] You don't want to do this.

[Kuame bangs on the window of the door, the other prisoners from sick bay run around to the other office windows and start banging on them too, the glass is strong. Sara tries to use the phone in her office but it won't work, she looks out one of the office window's to see Theo stood holding a cut wire]

THEO: We're sorry, this line is experiencing technical difficulty.

[The prisoners carry on banging on the windows]

[Prison hallway - Lincoln is still trying to fend off T-Bag and his cronies]

T-BAG: Did you ever see one of them safari shows where a bunch of cheetahs just jump all up on an antelope?

[T-Bag's cronies all step forward threateningly]

T-BAG: Guess which one you are.

[Lincoln acts casual for a moment before grabbing one of the cronies and head-butting him, another tries to hit him, Lincoln dodges, punches him in the stomach and pushes him to the ground. 3 of the prisoners go for Bob and hold him up against a fence, beating him. One holds Lincoln from behind as another punches him in the stomach, Lincoln manages to get free slightly and knee the one punching him in the guts, he then wrestles with 3 of them before T-Bag smashes him on the back of the head with a metal pipe]

T-BAG: Tough little gorilla, ain't he?

[Bob is struggling, still being held up against the fence by 3 inmates, T-Bag stares at him]

['Drilling Room' - Sucre and Michael look at the projection of the devil's face on the wall]

SUCRE: I was raised to believe the devil's got some crazy power but I don't think shining him on this wall isn't gonna bring it down. Not unless he's got a sledgehammer with him.

MICHAEL: We don't need a sledgehammer.

[Michael picks up the drill tool he got from Trumpets off the side and throws it to Sucre]

SUCRE: What the hell am I supposed to do with this?

[Sick bay - Prisoners are still trying to break into Sara's office, Kuame has Rizzo slouched on the floor against a pole]

PRISON GUARD: [Over Rizzo's radio] Sick bay report. Sick bay, please report.

[Kuame smashes a bottle and holds a shard of glass to Rizzo's throat]

PRISON GUARD: [Over Rizzo's radio] Sick bay, come in. Is everything okay?

KUAME: You know what to say.

RIZZO: [Into his radio] All clear in sick bay. Over.

PRISON GUARD: [Over Rizzo's radio] Roger that.

'Drilling Room' - Michael is listening to the noise of the rioters]

SUCRE: Let the bulls worry about the noise. You worry about how you're gonna drill through a 6-inch concrete wall with what used to be an egg peeler.

MICHAEL: We just need a few small holes.

SUCRE: How are we gonna fit through a few small holes?

MICHAEL: You ever heard of tensile strength? Hooke's law of elasticity?

SUCRE: [Hands on hips] What do you think?

MICHAEL: We drill holes in strategic locations, we compromise the load-carrying capacity of the wall.

SUCRE: How about speaking English?

MICHAEL: We'll be able to break through the part of the wall that covers the pipe opening. Give me that.

[Sucre gives Michael the egg peeler]

MICHAEL: We go in through the tip of each horn, the eyes, the end of the nose, the bottom of the thangs, end of the braids. It makes a kind of X. Let's get to it.

[Michael holds the small drill against the tip of one of the devil's horns]

[Weapon armory - Prison guards gear up with guns and protective equipment. Skips to outside - Pope, Bellick and some other prison guards are walking toward a gazebo, Pope is holding a rolled up map, a lot of people are rushing around]

BELLICK: If I can get dirt in there with some of the newer fire power the state's issued-

POPE: Oh, yeah. So we can end the riot today and start the funerals tomorrow?

BELLICK: I can contain this, sir.

MACK: [Entering, holding a phone] Warden! I got a call for you.

POPE: Not now.

MACK: I think you should take this, boss. It's the governor.

[They are now in the gazebo, Pope takes the phone]

POPE: Governor.

[We see the 'State Capitol Building, Springfield, Illinois']

GOVERNOR TANCREDI: [Out of shot] Where's my daughter?

POPE: Not to worry, sir, she's fine. She's in sick bay in B-wing. [Looking at his map] It's a completely different part of the facility, it's, er, totally locked off from the disturbance.

[We see Governor Tancredi in his office now]

GOVERNOR TANCREDI: Disturbance? That's what you're calling a riot nowadays? Can any of these animals get to her?

POPE: Sir, it's impossible from anyone from A-wing to get into sick bay. A guard there assures us that everything is fine. We have everything under control, governor.

GOVERNOR TANCREDI: For your sake, you better hope you do.

[Pope hangs up]

[Sick bay - Kuame is now hitting the door's window with the bottom of a stand, other prisoners are shouting and banging on the glass, Rizzo is handcuffed around a metal pillar]

KUAME: I'm gon' dance with you, doc! I'ma dance with your (????)!

[Kuame carries on trying to smash the glass while other prisoners shout and do the same]

WHITE INMATE: Come on, doc!

UNKNOWN INMATE: Open the door!

UNKNOWN INMATE #2: Open the door!

[Sara panicks and looks around]

['Drilling Room' - Michael finishes drilling a hole in the wall]

MICHAEL: [Handing the small drill to Sucre] Alright, it's your turn.

SUCRE: No, I ain't messing with no diablo, man.

MICHAEL: We can't afford downtime. We have to switch off with the drilling.

SUCRE: It's bad mojo, bro, you kidding me? I mess with him, you drill into him, he gets pissed. And then what, huh? I got enough enemies already, papi, [Spanish word].

MICHAEL: You believe in God, right?

SUCRE: You know I do.

MICHAEL: So you're protected. He'll protect you from him.

[Sucre fiddles with his cross for a moment, then takes the small drill from Michael and starts drilling at the top of the other horn]

[A-wing - With prisoners still rioting, T-Bag drags Bob down some stairs and into the main cell block, the prisoners down below go wild and cheer, T-Bag hits a the railing with his metal pipe once]

T-BAG: Gentlemen! Woooah, Gentlemen!

[The crowd quiet down, we see Seth looking nervous, he doesn't know what to do with himself]

T-BAG: I assure you once Bob and I are done getting acquainted, everyone else will get their turn.

[The crowd of prisoners go wild again, T-Bag takes Bob round to the next of steps which leads to the bottom level of cells]

T-BAG: We're gonna have a little fun now, Bobby. Don't worry, I don't got the blickey. My pipes are clean.

[Bob struggles free as they walk down the steps, tries to run back along the upper level and falls over]

T-BAG: Where you going, rookie?

[T-Bag throws his metal pipe on the floor and follows Bob as he tries to crawl away]

T-BAG: No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. They always think they can run away.

[T-Bag grabs Bob by the legs, Bob kicks him in the face and again in the gut, T-Bag turns him over, gets on top of him, continuing to punch and headbutt him multiple times]

['Drilling Room' - Sucre doing the drilling, Michael rests against the wall]

SUCRE: [While drilling] I've got a question for you, Fish. What if we do all this work and the pipe is 10 feet that way?

[We see now that they are now on the 4th hole]

MICHAEL: It won't be.

SUCRE: You got X-ray vision?

MICHAEL: I calculated the drill point coordinates, hid them in my tattoo and then projected them back onto the wall. Everything's been worked out so the image hits the right spot. It's just math.

SUCRE: What if your math is wrong?

MICHAEL: You'll drill into one of a dozen gas lines behind the wall, [Sucre stops] they'll be an explosion and we'll be burned alive.

[They share a long look, Michael smiles, Sucre looks nervous]

SUCRE: But you're good at math, right?

[A-wing - T-Bag is still on top of Bob, the other prisoners, all on the level below, are going crazy. T-Bag spits in Bob's face, then slaps him, picks him up and throws him into what happens to be Michael and Sucre's cell. Bob tries to stand up, T-Bag kicks him in the ass, Bob stumbles forward into the sink and pulls it away from the wall as he falls. We see Michael and Sucre hear this, they look around, worried. T-Bag stares at the hole in the wall behind the sink]

T-BAG: [Whispering] They're breaking out.

Act 4Edit

[Michael's cell - T-Bag stares at the hole, then turns away to walk out]

T-BAG: They're breaking-

[Abruzzi suddenly grabs T-Bag, covering his mouth, and pushes him against the bunk]

[Sick bay - Theo is now trying to break through the door's window, Sara looks around hastily for a weapon, she finds a syringe in the desk drawer. Theo makes a hole big enough for his arm to fit through, he wriggles his arm through and reaches for the door handle on Sara's side]

THEO: Yo, Stroke! You got longer arms than me, man!

UNKNOWN INMATE: You better get out of there!

[Sara stabs Theo in the hand with the syringe, Theo screams, takes his arm out, he looks woozy]

THEO: That bitch stuck me.

[Theo collapses, Kuame comes at the window with a fire extinguisher now. Sara picks up a stapler and smashes a cabinet window with it]

[Outside Fox River - Pope is in the gazebo with many prison guards and other people, this is where the planning is taking place]

POPE: They think it's hot now? I want all the water shut off.

BELLICK: [Reaching for his radio] I'll call maintenance.

POPE: Mack, you take care of it.

MACK: Yes, sir.

[Bellick and Pope stare at each other, Pope raises his eyebrows as if to ask 'what?']

[Michael's cell - Michael climbs back through the hole in the wall to see Bob sat on the floor, and T-Bag standing there with Abruzzi]

ABRUZZI: Yeah, we-, we have a problem.

T-BAG: Oh, that's right. Yeah, Bob here's seen the hole. He's got to go away.

[Michael turns around, leans his against the wall, thinking. Sucre pokes his head back through]

MICHAEL: No one's going anywhere.

T-BAG: He's seen the hole.

ABRUZZI: So have you.

SUCRE: Looks like your lockdown idea didn't work out too good, huh?

BOB: I have a daughter, please.

[Michael carries on thinking]

T-BAG: We've got to kill him.

MICHAEL: The cops are right outside. And they'll stay outside, as long as they know we're keeping him alive.

T-BAG: But he's a guard. He's gonna squeal.

ABRUZZI: What the hell does this have to do with you anyway? This is not any of your concern.

T-BAG: [Smiling] Hm. [Squeaks his lips] See, Bob, here, knows about our secret. He knows about our escape.

[Abruzzi laughs]

T-BAG: So it's all of our concern now, isn't it?

[T-Bag exits, pushing Abruzzi out of his way]

[Prison hallway - Lincoln lies on the floor, some prisoners run right past him and up the stairs, Westmoreland spots him, rolls him over, we see a puddle of blood where his head was, Lincoln screams and grabs Westmoreland's face]

WESTMORELAND: Easy, big fella, it's just me. Looks like you took a pretty good hit.

[Lincoln squirms in pain, more prisoners run by]

WESTMORELAND: Cons got that rook guard in gen pop. [Helping Lincoln to his feet] Kid's probably dead already, or wishing he was.

LINCOLN: Where's Scofield!?

[Turk walks past and halts]

WESTMORELAND: Haven't seen him since things jumped off.

TURK: You looking for Scofield?

LINCOLN: Yeah, Turk.

TURK: Come on.

[Lincoln follows Turk down some stairs, then down a corridor, Westmoreland watches him walk away]

[A-wing - T-Bag walks out of Michael's cell, Abruzzi right behind him, he grabs T-Bag and pushes him against the metail rails]

ABRUZZI: Now, you listen, pervert. You're in as much trouble as he is, you understand!?

[Michael comes out of his cell to listen]

T-BAG: Go ahead, go ahead. Stick me, stick me. Let's see how many times I can shout out about your little hole there 'fore I bleed out, huh? 'Cause every con here's gonna know about your little escape 'fore one drip of my blood hits the floor. So, you see, friends, either I'm through that hole with you or I'm gonna sing like Johnny Cash.

[Sick bay - The inmates continue to try to break into Sara's office, most of them shouting threats while they do so, Kuame is pummeling the glass with the fire extinguisher. Sara takes off her overcoat and wraps it around a shard of glass so she can use it as a weapon. It looks as though they're close to breaching her office, Sara begins to look incredibly scared]

[A-wing - Some prisoners are watching the surveillance monitors in the breaches security room, Trumpets is one of them, he runs to the window]

TRUMPETS: Hey, yo, check it! Stroker's about to get the doc! [Laughs]

[Michael hears this as he's walking down the stairs, loads of prisoners rush into look at the monitor. Michael sees Sara cowering in the corner of her office on the monitor. Skips to Michael entering his cell, which is now covered from sight with a sheet, Bob is now sat on the bottom bunk with Abruzzi]

MICHAEL: Sucre, I need you to finish what we started.

SUCRE: What's going on, man? Where you going?

MICHAEL: [Moving the sink] Sick bay.

ABRUZZI: Hey, there's no way into B-wing. We're all locked out.

MICHAEL: I'm not. No one touches the CO. No one.

[Michael exits through the hole, T-Bag leans in close to Abruzzi]

T-BAG: You gonna clue me in, paisan?

[A corridor somewhere in A-wing - Lincoln is following Turk]

TURK: Be faster if we cut through here.

[Turk slides open a gate, we see a wristband on him. Short flashback to the person on the phone to Diamond, he had the same wristband on, it was Turk, we hear "Burrows is as good as dead", Lincoln carries on following him]

[Behind Michael's cell wall - Michael climbs up through every level, eventually making his way up onto the roof. He runs over to the edge of the rood, looks across to the sick bay and sees Sara banging on the barred window for help, a chopper flies overheard. In the sick bay, Kuame is screaming, still trying to break the glass, Sara is still panicking]
